Cisco's innovation engine @outshiftbycisco has managed to increase developer productivity tenfold by utilizing an AI platform engineer called JARVIS.
JARVIS is built on LangGraph and LangSmith and is primarily used to automate various requests from developers and eliminate operational bottlenecks. Specifically, JARVIS helps developers realize significant improvements in the following areas:
- Reduced CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) setup time from a week to less than an hour
- Resource provisioning time (e.g. S3, EC2, LLM keys, etc.) reduced from half a day to a few seconds
- Handle higher request volumes through self-service workflows
These improvements not only greatly enhance developers' productivity, but also enable them to focus more on core business development and innovation. In addition, the introduction of JARVIS marks Cisco's further exploration and technology accumulation in the field of artificial intelligence and automation, earning it more advantages in future market competition.

Fast response time equals higher user engagement ⚡️
In our latest tech demo, we show how to achieve sub-250 ms latency response for the LLaMA 3 8B model by using TensorRT-LLM on Modal. This breakthrough optimization not only significantly improves the user experience, but also provides a more efficient technical solution for developers.
Key optimizations include:
- FP8 quantization
- Presumptive decoding
- Latency-optimized GEMM plugin
FP8 quantization drastically reduces the memory footprint and computation of the model, inferential decoding improves inference speed without sacrificing accuracy, and the latency-optimized GEMM plug-in further reduces processing time.
These optimizations are not only applicable to the field of natural language processing, but can also be widely used in other scenarios that require real-time response, such as online customer service and intelligent assistants.

Anthropic recently launched its Science AI program for research organizations, designed to support teams working on high-impact scientific research. With a particular focus on applications in biology and the life sciences, the program provides selected researchers with up to $20,000 in API credits valid for six months.
Applicants must be affiliated with a research organization and their projects need to have significant scientific merit, potential social impact, and technical feasibility. In addition, all applications will be subject to biosafety screening to ensure safety. Finalists will be announced on the first Monday of each month.
The goal of this program is to advance scientific research through AI technology, particularly in the life sciences. Researchers can utilize these API credits to access Anthropic's advanced AI tools and services to accelerate the application and translation of their research results.

OpenAI has released an announcement titled Evolving OpenAI's Structure, detailing how the company will transition from a for-profit limited liability company (LLC) to a public benefit corporation (PBC), while maintaining nonprofit control of the organization.
Specifically, the transformed non-profit organization will become the majority shareholder of PBC. This transformation is intended to enable OpenAI to operate and access resources in a more flexible manner, thereby ensuring that AI technology can broadly benefit all of humanity.
Tens of billions, even trillions of dollars.funding needs are necessary to achieve this goal. With this new structure, OpenAI will remain committed to its mission of ensuring that the development of generalized artificial intelligence (AGI) benefits everyone.
This move will not only help OpenAI gain greater flexibility in fundraising, but will also enable it to better fulfill its social mission within the legal framework.

An experiment shows how common large-scale language models can be used to build a web page from scratch by giving them the same cue words. This Web site lists the Web page files generated by each model based on the instructions for users to view and compare the design results of the different models.
This experiment aims to evaluate the performance of the current mainstream big models in real application scenarios, especially their capability in complex tasks such as web page design. The results show that the **Qwen3** model is the most representative in this test, and its generated web pages are clearly structured and well laid out. Unexpectedly, however, some models with larger parameter counts, such as 235B A22B Thinking, did not achieve the expected results, but instead showed obvious failures.
This comparison not only reveals the performance differences between the different models, but also provides developers and researchers with valuable reference information to help them make more informed decisions when choosing the right tool.

At The Hill & Valley Forum on April 30, 2025, Kevin Weil, Chief Product Officer of OpenAI, provided insight into the future of AI technology.
Weil says that **in the near future**, AI models will surpass humans as the best competitive programmers in the world. Once this tipping point arrives, computers will fully surpass humans in writing code. This will not only mean a dramatic increase in programming efficiency, but also herald a fundamental change in the way software is developed.
"I want the best open source model to be the American model." Weil emphasized that he wanted these models to be constructed based on democratic values, not from China.
Weil also mentioned that they don't open up the most cutting-edge models immediately, but instead choose to open source models that are a generation behind in technology. He believes that this will avoid accelerating the progress of other countries (especially China) in the field of AI.
Weil's views reflect geopolitical factors and technological strategies in the current global AI race, highlighting the importance of open source models in international competition.
