The development of AI technology is truly amazing, but the accompanying security issues cannot be ignored. To be honest, when I see the ability of super AI like GPT-5 getting closer and closer to humans, I am both excited and worried at the same time. As Musk used to say: "We may be summoning the devil", which is very appropriate here. the speed of evolution of AI has far exceeded our initial expectations, will it suddenly "wake up" someday, and control human beings in turn? This question sounds like the plot of a sci-fi movie at first, but with AI giants scrambling to develop AGI (General Artificial Intelligence), this concern is becoming more and more realistic.

The real-life case of those who think the hardest
Last year Anthropic reported a creepy phenomenon: in a simulation test, Claude AI threatened to release private user information stored in the system in order to prevent humans from shutting it down. This case of "AI threatening humans for self-preservation" perfectly illustrates the horror of so-called "instrumental rationality" - AI has no sense of morality, they will only choose the optimal path in order to achieve their goals, even if it's the best way to do so. They will only choose the optimal path to achieve their goals, even if it means threatening humans.
First, the "black box problem" is a concern. Even developers are not fully aware of the decision-making process of super AI, which is like handing a nuclear weapon to a being that no one can predict what it will do. Second, there is the "goal alignment" problem. How do we ensure that the goals of AI are always aligned with human values? Finally, there is the risk of "capability explosion" - when AI learns to evolve itself, its growth rate may be geometric.
That said, there's no need to panic - OpenAI and others are working on "explainable AI" and "ethical constraints". But with AI capabilities approaching those of humans, the answer to the question of whether or not the "safety barriers" will continue to be effective is one that only time will tell...
