To be honest, the MCP protocol is getting hotter and hotter in the AI circle, which gives big models the "wings" to interact with the outside world, and makes these models turn from AI assistants that can only chat to all-purpose assistants that can see, do and check. Especially in the actual work, it can solve many previous problems, such as I recently felt the convenience of its project.

The utility of MCP in everyday development
The most surprising thing to me when programming is that it can directly call various tools - for example, if you encounter a problem and want to check the latest documentation, AI can start the browser, help you retrieve the latest official information, and even automatically extract the core content organized into markdown; when you need to test the code snippets, you can also let AI execute Python scripts to Verify that the idea is right or wrong. More practical is the integration of GitHub capabilities, in the IDE directly submit issue, query the warehouse status, greatly reducing the frequency of switching windows, programming efficiency upward.
From content creation to data processing, it's really all-inclusive
MCP in writing and research scenarios is even brighter. Imagine - using the golden combination of Brave Search+Fetch to get the latest data and avoid quoting outdated information; using server-memory to let AI remember the history of conversations and important points to make multiple rounds of exploration more coherent. And it can crawl website content and analyze it, which is like a tiger's wing for people who write long articles to check information and market analysis! When I tried to use it to write a certain technical research report, the efficiency of data collection was improved by more than a star.
Smart aids for creative design are here
Front-end designers are in luck, Magic MCP is really like a "magic wand", you can quickly build UI prototypes by typing simple commands. What's most appealing to me is the interoperability with tools like Figma - just give the AI a link to a page or an element code and the model "understands the design and gives a responsive implementation"! This, combined with browser scripting (e.g. Playwright), automated screenshots, and simulated interactions, greatly reduces the design-to-launch cycle.
But then again, although MCP is good to use, don't add all the services in one head - after all, running multiple MCP servers at the same time is still quite resource-intensive, it is recommended that only a few of the current project needs to be opened, enough is good. In general, MCP is gradually changing the way we collaborate with AI, AI from a "question-answering machine" into a real "work partner", which is a really good feeling!
